Dr. Gopal Venkat has more than 25 years of experience leading analytical development and quality control functions in the pharmaceutical industry. During this time, he has provided method development, validation and testing support for a full range of pharmaceutical dosage forms.
Dr. Gopal Venkat joined Scientech Laboratories in August 2023 as a Lab Director. Prior to joining Scientech Laboratories, Dr. Gopal worked as a Director of Analytical R & D at MSN Pharmaceuticals for almost 5 years, where he was responsible for the Analytical support to quality control, pre-formulation, method development/validation, CMC regulatory submission and FDA inspection. Dr. Gopal Venkat received his Ph.D. degree in Analytical Chemistry from Seton Hall University, New Jersey.
Rashmi Maharaj has a PhD in Nutrition from University of Delhi, India. MSc. & BSc. in Nutrition & Biochemistry from Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa, India. As an Operations Associate, plays a critical role in ensuring our laboratory operations run smoothly and efficiently. Plays a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of service and accuracy that Scientech Laboratories is known for. Responsible for handling incoming orders with precision. Providing accurate and timely quotes for our services. Inputting order information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to maintain seamless workflow. Preparing sample packets meticulously for laboratory testing. Managing the invoicing process to ensure clients receive prompt and clear billing information. Sending test results to clients and addressing any queries they might have.
Saba Azzez is a Biotechnology graduate from Bengaluru University, where she majored in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Genetics. She also holds certifications in Bioinformatics. Saba serves as the primary point of contact for all clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our services. She oversees all incoming projects, ensuring timely deliverables and accuracy in analytical and microbiological results, price quotes, and invoices.
Additionally, Saba manages stability studies by placing samples in the correct storage chambers and retrieving them at the appropriate times. She maintains accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the stability data.

With over 20 years of experience in the contract laboratory and contract manufacturing industry, Therese Abrenica brings her Quality Control and Quality Assurance knowledge to Scientech Laboratories as the Quality Assurance Supervisor. With a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, she started her career as an Analyst and climbed her way into Management and transitioned into Quality roles. She will support Scientech in building and improving our Quality Management.
Manjula is an accomplished lab manager with a wealth of experience and strong analytical skills. With over 10 years in the field, she specializes in analytical chemistry. Manjula holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and excels in supporting research and development projects, method validation, and adhering to FDA cGMP and ICH guidelines. Her proficiency extends to writing SOPs and protocols.
Manjula’s exceptional management skills contribute significantly to Scientech’s product testing process. She is very organized and ensures accurate and precise data delivery, allowing us to maintain the highest quality standards. Her investigative prowess enables her to identify root causes effectively.
Shruti Paranjape is a seasoned microbiology leader with over a decade of experience in FDA-regulated and ISO-certified laboratories. With deep expertise in microbiological testing including antimicrobial and preservative efficacy, microbial limit testing, method development and validation, and quality systems compliance, Shruti has a strong record of building and leading high-performing laboratory operations. She is skilled in establishing and governing robust SOP frameworks, driving regulatory inspection readiness, and ensuring data integrity in alignment with cGMP, GLP, GCP, and GDP standards.
Throughout her career, Shruti has successfully operationalized compliant testing environments, guided cross-functional teams, and enhanced laboratory performance across consumer products, OTC, pharmaceuticals, and R&D settings. Known for strategic execution and quality-focused leadership, she brings a commitment to scientific excellence and continuous improvement that supports Scientech's business objectives and regulatory expectations. With 16 years of experience across industry and academia, Chintamani Thapa, PhD, specializes in leveraging mass spectrometry to solve complex analytical challenges. As the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory Manager, he oversees lab operations and strategic direction, supporting diverse drug development projects. After earning his PhD in Natural Product Chemistry from the University of Saskatchewan, Chintamani Thapa built an extensive portfolio in small and large molecule analysis, Analytical support for process development, impurity profiling, nitrosamine testing, and the characterization of ADCs and complex polymers.
Having held technical and leadership roles within CRO, CMO, and CDMO environments, Chintamani understands the importance of delivering high-quality data within cGMP-compliant frameworks. He is highly skilled at ensuring MS activities meet stringent regulatory requirements while maintaining operational excellence. From developing ADME assays and SAR studies to lead optimization to managing a full-scale analytical lab, he is dedicated to driving innovation through scientific precision and regulatory rigor.
