SCIENTECH LABORATORIES – CHEMISTRY LABORATORY ASSOCIATE I

The Lab Associate I is responsible for conducting chemical testing using established methods for OTC drug, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and dietary supplement products in a cGMP environment for various clients.

Other Chemistry Lab Associates, Lab Technicians, and Quality Assurance colleagues

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run validated methods for a variety of analytical chemical analyses on laboratory instruments (LC, GC, IR, UV, dissolution, viscosity, melting point, and others).

• Prepare samples of OTC drug, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, dietary supplement, and botanical products for analysis in the above methods.

• Process data from instruments (LC, GC, others) to produce results ready for data review and QA

• Help maintain equipment, reagents, and disposables supplies.

• Independently manages own day-to-day activities to support lab objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Chemistry with 1+ years experience working in an FDA-regulated analytical chemistry laboratory

• Experienced with following laboratory SOPs to prepare samples for analysis, run experiments, collect data, and report results.

• Experienced with LC and GC instruments. Experience with Shimadzu equipment and LabSolutions software a plus

• Familiar with the cGMP environment and QA procedures

• Independent, yet a great team player.

• Organized and able to plan work efficiently and effectively.

• Ability to consistently deliver on-time results for clients.
