EPA 8081 Pesticide analysis

Recently we successfully executed the method validation of EPA 8081 organochlorine pesticide analysis using QuEChERS extraction technique followed by GC-MS analysis on Agilent 5977C operating in SIM mode. EPA 8081 pesticide panel includes 22 chlorinated pesticides such as DDT, aldrin, dieldrin, endrin, and others.

SIM approach enabled us to achieve reliable and selective detection with low limits of detection (LOD) down to 0.3 ppm. SIM mode enabled enhanced sensitivity and minimized background interference, ensuring accurate quantification even at trace levels. The method proved to be both efficient and robust, making it well-suited for routine product, raw material, water, and environmental safety testing.
